On a Personal Note:

Over the years of practicing radiation oncology, patients kept asking me why cancer happened and what else can they do to help themselves. Although my conventional training has provided me with excellent tools to help patients with cancer, it didn’t have all the answers I was looking for. I knew I needed to know more. The more I learned, the more I felt like we as a medical community have so much more we can offer cancer patients. I remain amazed and humbled by this gratifying work and the opportunity to join people on this journey.

On a Personal Note:

My personal biography includes a chapter starting with the sentence: “You have cancer.” I clearly remember the uncertainty, confusion, and fear that followed.

Going through cancer treatment was a transformative experience. It added a much-needed humility to the way I show up as a clinician. In the darkest moment during my treatment, I vowed to pay it back. I am grateful every day that I survived and I am determined to fulfill this promise.

I am committed to pass on what I learned and help you find your voice through treatment and beyond.
